The Opposable Thumb

October 26, 2009

Ugh.

I’m sick as hell again. This time it’s definitely a chest cold. I’m keeping fluids up as best I can, so all I can really do is keep eating the vitamin C and let it run its course. I’m hoping this will do me up for the season honestly. I’m really kinda tired of being sick!

We lost internet yesterday for a good chunk of time, and had a ton of craziness going on here at work, so I stayed pretty busy. In the down time I managed to get Fallen Justice #6 fully lettered and print ready! Yes! I’ll be sending that puppy off soon! So that leaves us just one more issue and we’re done! Woo hoo!

I also spent some time checking out the special features section of the upcoming Fallen Justice Collected Edition and decided to make some major changes there. I’ve done a lot of the special features already…but I’m not happy with the graphics section, so it’ll have to go in favor of a brand new design. More on that as I get it because I’m still mulling some different things, but rest assured it’ll be cool.

Well today is day one of week 3, and I’ve already done my posts, responded to the ones I need to, and posted my assignment! lol Can’t call me a procrastinator this week! I also have the post written for next week as well, which will be nice as I’m not sure how much internet time I’m going to have. What’s sad is, I haven’t done nearly as much on my research project as I need to, so that’ll be the focus next week for sure! Looking for late in the week to have me glued to my damn desk. Ugh.

Well things aren’t looking good for the Wookies this week. I’m down by a good 20 points going into tonight’s game and I just don’t see me winning unless Campbell has a blow out game against the Eagles. Ah well. I’ll regroup for next week and see what kinda of damage I can do. I have a trade coming up so hopefully that’ll go through and help out.

The Cowboys won! Holy smokes! I was more than a little surprised honestly. It’s kinda sad, you never know what team will be showing up on any given Sunday. I wish they’d play like that more often! Poor bears lost badly yesterday (sorry Chuck!) but the Saints won an awesome game, even if Brees tried his best to screw me up! In the end he scored the points I needed him to, but damn talk about scaring me!

The Comicsmonkey service is going live! That means that stores will have yet another avenue to get my comics, this time directly from the printer basically, cutting out shipping costs and such. Check them out here! As always you can get them on the Red Handed Studios website, where we also have some other excellent merchandise for you to check out, or you can get them off of Indyplanet, or even Haven! If you want Red Handed books, there’s no shortage of places to get them believe me!

I watched a movie called Milk last night and thought it was pretty good. Not my typical fare honestly, but the acting was incredible. Sean Penn, for all his issues, can act. I was pissed when Mickey Rourke lost the Oscar to Penn last year, but after finally seeing the movie in question…he fully deserved the damn thing without a doubt. When a guy so completely disappears into a role that you can no longer see him at all…that’s Oscar worthy. I’d give Milk 4.5 stars with a strong recommendation. Not for kids certainly, but an excellent movie all the same.

Reading has been slow lately because I’ve had access to late evening TV, but I’ll be picking it up again shortly. I never go long without reading, and probably never will. I’ve loved it since I was a kid. You can always find something good to read, you just have to look hard enough.

I used to be the kid with the coolest backpack offshore. Now…everyone has one just like mine! That’s just so wrong. It makes sense though, because you can’t beat this pack with a stock. It’s a Swiss Army blue and black monster from Best Buy. They rock. Put em on your Christmas lists!

And that will take care of today boys and girls. Have a good one and we’ll see ya tomorrow.
